Bidding question

So here's a hand I played recently. I guess it's mainly a judgement issue, so there'll be a poll to follow:
South Dealer
None Vuln.
IMPs
South (You)
A K Q 7 2
Q 5
K 10 5 4 2
8
You are playing ACOL, with 2-over-1 forcing to 2NT. The bidding is uncontested:
You – Partner
1 – 1NT
23

Your next bid?

  1. I do not know Acol well enough, but I'd rather bid 3 hearts then 3 spades. Other bids simply seem to be out of question.

    1. Sorry, I should have offered this too. I felt that 3H should really be a bid showing a stop asking partner to bid 3NT with a club stop. But I'll never find out now because I didn't offer it in the poll!

    2. I think 3 hearts is primarily what you suggest: in first reading should be taken as expressing some extras and no club values. This gives partner a chance to bid 3 spades with Hx spades, 3NT with a solid club stopper (not Axx, as it is likely to be facing a singleton), 4/5D with the 5th diamond (weak/good hand), 4 clubs with a nice hand without any of these (or with 5 diamonds and two spades). On the actual hand the bidding would surely go either just 5D or 4C-4D-5D.
